** SALE ** Chavez Family Cellars Mixed Reds and Whites

Coming from humble beginnings to then creating a very successful enterprise that sells small batched artisan wines in Healdsburg, is at the heart of Chavez Family Cellars. This mixed case includes 6 bottles of each of the following: 2022 Carlin's Blend Cabernet Sauvignon - Gold Medal, Sonoma County Harvest Fair 2026. From Sonoma County's famed Alexander Valley, this Cabernet-based wine has incorporated the five Bordeaux Style Grape Varietals; Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, and Malbec. This Wine received a Gold Medal from the distinguished Press Democrat’s North Coast Food and Wine Challenge. All the grapes were co-fermented together (this is the same way that the Chavez Family has fermented every Carlin’s Blend vintage). The grapes were cold soaked (cold-macerated) in a stainless-steel tank for 72 hours; post-cold soak, we inoculated it with our selected yeast. Fermentation took place over 26 days, and the wine was allowed to have a72 hours extended maceration time to induce softer tannins and improve the texture and roundness. The wine was racked every 3 months for the first year and barrel aged for 28 months. 2023 Elsa's Blend - A white wine blend from Sonoma County's Russian River Valley. The grapes for Elsa’s Blend Sauvignon Blanc are a combination of Sauvignon Blanc and Moscato Canelli. We field blend the two varietals to produce the unique taste of Elsa’s Blend. This wine displays intense aromas of ripe pineapple, passionfruit, and hints of grapefruit. The palate showcases intense and vibrant flavors of minerality with hints of summer fruits. The grapes are hand harvested in the early morning and pressed using the “whole cluster press method”. Using selected yeast strains, the wine is fermented at a low temperature and cellared to a cool temperature until bottled. Elsa’s Blend is ready to be enjoyed in the afternoon with friends or during dinner with family. Enjoy a 15% discount, reflected in the posted price.
