This winery is located in the heart of Sonoma County's Russian River Valley Appellation and has won Double Gold Medals with this wine at the 2025 Sonoma County Harvest Fair. A worldly gem of a Cab with a crimson hue and a slight mauve meniscus. Bordeaux in style, this leather-clad, pipe-toting chap rings of blackberry and moist truffle notes set into a honeyed canella oak structure. As the bouquet opens, notes of passion fruit, forest loam, and grandpa’s tobacco appear. On the palate, this wine is ripe with lush berries and mineral-laden earth notes, conjuring dusty, old books and a crackling, smoky fireplace. The tannins are present but don’t dominate, leading to a coated mouthfeel. The finish is remembered long after the last drop, with aftertastes of a well-made, mature Cab. Try it with game, ribeye, roasted meats, beef stew, rack of lamb, and even swordfish and tuna steaks in hearty sauces. It is also perfect with aged dry cheddars. Age for 5-15 years after vintage. 12 bottles. No ship states include: AL, AK, DE, KY, MA, MS, MT, NH, OK, and UT
