Alexander Valley Vineyards 2023 Wine Club Reserve Full Case

Enjoy this case of 12 bottles from the Alexander Valley in Healdsburg, CA. The 2023 Wine Club Reserve is splurge worthy! The highlight of our Battle of the Blends event is the competition where teams vie for the chance to create the blend for our Wine Club Reserve. This spirited, educational and competitive event is led by veteran Winemaker Kevin Hall. 2023 began with heavy winter rainfall that delivered much needed moisture to the vines, followed by a long, cool growing season. Harvest began one month later than the previous year, allowing for longer hang time, leading to rich fruit flavors. This unique blend, 69% Syrah, 24% Malbec and 7% Zinfandel, created by the winning team “Pour Choices” was named the top wine after much debate and tasting. Each component was cave aged separately prior to blending. The Syrah and Malbec were aged in French oak, while the Zinfandel was aged in American oak barrels. This glass is filled with bright and spicy aromas of red cherry, plum and a hint of oak, while flavors of plum, red and black cherry, blueberry, dried cherry and spice, balanced by nice acidity and smooth tannins on the finish.
