Talamore is located mere footsteps from the Historic Village of Pinehurst and the quaint town center of Southern Pines, NC. While golf put the Village of Pinehurst and the surrounding Sandhills area on the map, the mild weather, amazing assortment of recreational and cultural activities, dining options and special events make if the perfect year-round resort destination. Southern Pines is well-known as a major equestrian community. Since receiving the designation as Best New Course in the South by Golf Digest, Talamore has been consistently ranked at the forefront for outstanding golf courses in the Village of Pinehurst area, North Carolina. Additionally, Talamore’s clubhouse, pool, and cabana are all conveniently located next to the Talamore Golf Villas. The Talamore Golf Villas have long been a favorite among golfers vacationing in the area for their wonderful amenities and panoramic views of the Resort Course’s signature holes. Other onsite amenities include a gracious southern style Clubhouse, pool, and guest hospitality suite and outdoor BBQ grove located amidst our new outdoor pavilion with spacious seating, fireplaces and TV’s.

Unique to Talamore Golf Resort are its exceptional onsite courses home to the Rees Jones-designed The New Course at Talamore and Pinehurst Magazine’s #1 Rated Private Course, the Arnold Palmer-designed Mid South Club. Along with our home courses, is the dizzying array of other famed Clubs we offer including Pine Needles, Mid Pines, Dormie Club, Tobacco Road, Legacy and so many more.

But you really don’t want to miss golfing the newly remastered course. As a part of their 25th anniversary, Talamore unlocked the course’s hidden potential through a combination or restoration and rejuvenation.

The original greens are meticulously being restored to the glory of the 1991 Rees Jones design. The course feels and is bigger with the fairways opened up, limited rough and the removal of excessive bunkering, with 75% of all bunkers eliminated. Improved cart access and the reshaping of certain areas to help cart flow will increase pace of play by at least 30 minutes per round.

Additionally, playability and pace of play are enhanced by 2% larger putting surface, and the addition of generous 60-inch Tif Eagle Bermuda green collars. The new Champion Bermuda putting surfaces will provide significantly better playing conditions than its bent grass predecessor and will put Talamore’s greens on par with the other top courses in the area that have already made the switch to Bermuda greens.
